Aunty Time

I love having Aunty time with my Great nephew. I try to pick him up once a month to spoil him. He is so cute and worth all the fuss. Mel and I took him to the new Provo Resort arcade. It was a blast! Kawika loves to play basketball and run around to all the games. Those bright flashing lights draw him in.

Here are some pictures.

You never know how long you have...

I thought I would post so that I could remember this date throughout my life.
I was shocked to hear last night that my dad went to the neurologist and got the diagnosis of having mini strokes for the last 21 years. These mini strokes and heart problems have resulted in Dementia and Alzheimers disease. He is not in the beginning stages, he is in the moderate to advanced stages. He will need to be put in a home in the next 3-5 years. All I can say, is WOW! It is weird that I will have no parents to support me or be in my life in the next 5 years. All I hope to do is stay strong and keep my family together. I hope to visit my dad as much as I can before he leaves this earth to see my mom again.

Life changes when you least expect it.

Off Track

I was able to go to Hawaii for 2 1/2 weeks in March/April. I had the time of my life!!! I really missed home and wanted to see friends and family. I love how Hawaii NEVER changes! Well, for the most part. :)

The new things that I noticed in Laie was there is seating outside of Subway and Angels ice cream. Can I just say...."Great idea Hawaii reserves Co.!" :) I love eating outside. It's fun to people watch. lol. Other things I noticed was that there is a newly renovated movie theatre, and the parking lot by the post office is bigger!

I like how the beaches, restaurants, and people stay the same....This is what makes Hawaii AWESOME!

I was busy every minute I was there. I had to drive my sister Cyndi to school a few days then the rest of the time was Kahuku's spring break. I was okay with waking up early a few mornings so I could go to TED's Bakery. Haha. I love everything at TED's! Those doughnuts are to die for.

What else did I do??? WEll....
I had a few BBQ's. One at Waimea and the others at friends houses. I went to my favorite beachs: Kailua, Lanikai. The sand is the best sand on the island!
I went shopping .....and shopping....and the swap meet, kaneohe mall, and of course Wal-mart! You can get the best Hawaiiana things there. I spent too much money!:)

I was able to visit some friends (Reiko, Julie, Joy). It was fun going to Laie Chop suey and Angels Ice cream with Julez. Good times. I have friends who own a lot of land on the north shore and they happen to own horses too! I was able to get my butt up on a horse! I had a great time riding and seeing the beautiful scenery.

What I really loved was going to all my favorite restaurants. There are a bunch of great food places in Kailua. I went to Kua'aina at least 5 times! I love that place! They have the BEST BURGERS....TURKEY Burger that is. HAHA. No red meat for me! Lol. I also went to Spagettinis. We call it Spags. It has great pizza and pasta. I couldn't miss out on Matsumotos Shave ice. That was a must!. Lilikoi flavor is da bomb!. :) If you haven't been to DUKE's in must try it! Cyndi, our friend Dolly, and I went pool hopping in Waikiki and our last stop was at Dukes. We put our name in at Duke's to eat outside. While waiting we swam in their salt water pool and jacuzzi. How cool is that? Talk about an awesome time!

Couldn't have had a better time! I didn't want to leave. :)
Pictures coming soon. :)

Wow...Where has 2009 gone?

I am finding it harder and harder to update this blog. I think I need to keep writing so I can remember what I did in my everyday life. So....Here I go....

School has been keeping me busy. I have New things thrown at me almost every day! At least I don't get bored right? :)

I was off track for the entire month of December. I love year round school! You can't find another job with those perks. :) I was able to get a lot of my TO DO lists done.

My sister Pam came to Utah to have a memorial for her daughter Olivia. Olivia lived one month. I'm glad Pam came to Utah to get family support. I can only imagine what she went through.

My sister Cyndi came for Christmas from Hawaii. We had a great time making Christmas crafts, baking cookies, going to Xmas parties, and just hanging around.

Christmas caroling with the sisters

Harvey Christmas party at my Dad's club house

Dad and Josh's baby Kawika

I went golfing with Josh, Cyndi, Josh's girlfriend Koali Hanohano, and Koalis baby Kaluhikai

Hope you enjoyed my blog! :)

Is it just me thinking this??

Is it just me or is SWINE FLU is EVERYWHERE???? My nephew's baby contracted the flu and he is only 3 weeks old. Scary! I hope my nephew Josh doesn't get it and pass it on to me. ME -NO-LIKE-E. :)

I've been watching the news and there are outbreaks of the flu everywhere. Being a teacher I am having my kids clean their desks once a week and constantly wash their hands. Am I being paranoid?

I think we should start wearing face know the masks you see all the Asians wearing in Asia.

What do you think?
